Defensible Space Compliance – Brush Clearing & Mowing
01
Problem

A property owner in Mountain View needed 20 acres cleared of brush and mowed to meet defensible space compliance requirements. Despite reaching out to multiple contractors, he struggled to find anyone willing to take on the job—the hilly terrain made it too difficult and risky for most conventional equipment to operate safely

Solution
We deployed our PHX bot, engineered specifically for challenging terrain with a wider wheelbase and lower center of gravity to prevent tipping. Operating safely on slopes up to 37 degrees, the robot tackled inclines that would be dangerous for traditional mowers. Using our mission controller, the customer set custom waypoints to guide the bot around obstacles like trees, rocks, and structures. Refueling waypoints were also programmed in, allowing the PHX to return autonomously for fuel and continue the job without manual intervention.
